Cost of Classes

The usual cost of classes for someone with a proper wage is €110 per ten week term.

This fee covers attendance at as many suitable classes as you wish to attend. Students can attend any class at their level of understanding or below. Attendance at classes beyond your understanding is disruptive and not allowed. This fee also cover the cost of light refreshments and class notes which are provided free of charge. This fee also covers the cost of the free practice session available between 5.30 and 6.00pm from Mondays to Thursday each week which students can drop into to address issues on a one-to-one basis.

My school is administered in ten week terms. For beginners terms start with their first class. For non-beginners these terms start in September. They run continuously through the year. Usually there are four full terms and one half term for the summer.

Concessions:

A reduced cost is available for those on a low income of €70 per ten week term. There is also a reduced rate for couples of €170 per couple per ten week term. If this is still unaffordable then please discuss you circumstances with me. I have never turned someone away because they could not afford to pay for classes.

Fee Refunds:

Fees are paid on a ten week basis and are refundable only to beginners in the first term under the following circumstance: As a complete beginner you cannot know whether taijiquan is what you are looking for or if I am the teacher for you. So, if you attend at least 8 out of 10 of the beginners classes and conclude they are not of benefit to you or I am not the teacher for you I will happily refund your money for the whole term.

The classes are organised on a not-for-profit basis. The surplus income after normal expenses is used to  improve the training facilities, provide equipment and to fund my own training as well as to support my teacher. I aim to provide the best value for the students of my school.

Private Classes:

Private classes for individuals are available in Limerick and Ogonnelloe by arrangement. Typically these cost €60 per hour, €35 for 1/2 an hour. There is nothing that I teach in private classes that I do not teach in my public classes. The only advantage of a private class is that my attention is solely focus on one individual and it allows a path of tuition that is not catering to a groups needs.
